Teal, Yellow and Grey Bedding.

Okay, So I have done a bunch of projects but it has been so long that I have posted so I will try to make it up. I have had this idea for awhile, based on a couple pins I put together to get my ultimate effect. So here are the different pins to get what I wanted. I love how the bedding ended up off just an idea I saw from some pillow colors. The pictures might need to be adjusted, I don't know if I love their placement, but I am perfectionist. Its not right til its perfect. Or at least perfect to my standards. :) Hope you like.

So I got the idea, that I wanted some writing above my bed, just wasn't sure what. So I like this idea a lot. but then I found the "Always Kiss Me Goodnight" and thought that was very fitting.

And then I have been doing quite a bit of research on making my headboard (the only thing that I have not done yet, dont worry its on my list.) and I found this picture. I love the idea of three pictures above the bed. The ones in these pin are little bigger and not of their children, but hey this is my idea right. My husband thinks we need one of all four of us and then the girls on each side but, I don't really like to look at pictures of myself.

And then last but not least my bedding. So here is the picture of the pillow. That gave me the idea. Of these colors... Teal, Yellow and Grey. I have had a grey bedroom for about a year, with only black and white pictures. So needless to say I needed to add a pop of color, and here it is.

And here is my end result.

Wood and Knobs:

I saw a pin, pinned from esty, it was a cute jewelry holder made from a piece of wood and different little knobs. I thought: “Hey I could so do this. But instead of holding jewelry why not my bags. All I would need is 3 different knobs, a piece of wood, spray paint (I have a love hate relationship with spray paint), and screw. Oh and super glue, because you have to drill a hole for the knobs to go in and then use super glue to make sure they don’t come out.

Tutu Tulle:

Oh my, I can’t get enough pins pinned on this I can’t wait to try making a full dress out it. But I had to start somewhere, like with the basics. So a tulle tutu. Instead of using elastic I used ribbon, because tulle can be really itch if you don’t get the soft kind and the ribbon wouldn’t be too tight on their little tummies. I found out that a yard was not enough, not even two yards was enough for one little tutu. Next time I will get three yards. The best way to show you how to wrap it was at http://www.free-homemade-gift-ideas.com/how-to-make-a-tutu.html I should have gone to the site instead of just pulling up the picture on Pinterest. Would have saved me some time.

Glue and Canvas:

I had a lot of fun with this one after I got done pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to save one of the canvases I did with my older nieces.
So I had a painting project with my girls aka my two nieces, while I was watching them for their parents date night. I did one canvas with glue, spelling out the youngest name on it and let her choose what colors she put on it. But with the older one I used painters tape and I did the same thing…that didn’t work so well. After the paint dried I pulled the glue off and it was lovely. I took the tape off and found that paint had gotten inside and it was not very pretty. I used the glue on hers and had her fill in the gaps where the tape was and after it dried and I pulled it off I painted in her name to hide the paint that had gotten through the tape. I love how they turned out in the end!

The blog site for this one was removed :(

Silhouette Wall Art:

So I found a really cool pin on Pinterest it was a wood grain silhouette. I love them, whenever I go to Disneyland I think it is amazing to watch them cut out people’s silhouettes. I know for a fact that I can’t do that (it didn't look human at all when I tried my hand at it). But now I found an easy way to do it. Instead of wood I just used canvas, painted it black cut out two side profiles of my nieces when they were both two years old. Then I laid them down and spray painted gold over them, and voilĂ ! Not one but two silhouettes! Sometimes all it takes is a picture to make you think: “Hey I can do that. But I’m going to put my own little twist to it.”

Canvas and spray paint:

I found a really cool pin that has you paint a canvas then lay any flower or leaf or anything you want on it then you spray paint over it. I didn't get the super amazing look from the pin I pinned but I do like how mine looks.

Hot Vanilla and Mexican Hot Chocolate

Last winter I made this and it was AMAZING! But I didn't have vanilla so I subed with peppermint.
1 cup milk
2 pumps peppermint
Heat them up on the stove.
1 cup whip cream
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
1 tbsp cinnamon
Mix then together and stick in the freezer.
Pour milk into mug and take the mix out of the freezer and put it into mug.
Top it with whip cream and sprinkle with cinnamon and some how you end up with a Mexican hot chocolate when you sub peppermint for vanilla.

I would post the link to this but it has a suspicious link alert so I wont be posting the link.
